Professor  Pogrebnjak is a co-author of more than 315 scientific papers, 10 books or chapters in books, thus his h-index equals 37; 25 PhD and 5 Dr. Sci dissertations were defended under his supervision.

He obtained his master degree in Tomsk Polytechnic University and defended his PhD thesis in Tomsk State University. He is engaged in modification of materials using ion, electron and plasma beams, ion implantation for surface treatment, fabrication and investigation of nanocomposite and nanostructured multielement and multilayered coatings with enhanced physical-mechanical and tribological properties. Prof. Pogrebnjak Alexander is a constant member of editorial board of several international scientific journals and a member of organizing committees of international conferences, moreover – he is a co-chairman of the International Conference “Nanomaterials: Applications and Properties (NAP)”. Present position of Prof. Pogrebnjak Alexander is a chief of the Department of Nanoelectronics, Sumy State University, Ukraine, and he is among Top-100 scientists of Ukraine.
