Received the M.S. (1997) and Ph.D. (2002) in applied mathematics from Bucharest University and Paris VI (Pierre et Marie Curie) University, respectively. In 2003 joined the INRIA team REO specialized in numerical simulations of PDE’s. Since 2004, is Associate Professor at Paris 13 University. His research interests include nonlinear approximation théory, irregular sampling, compressed sensing, machine learning and applied statistics.
